Members and volunteers have been working very hard over the last couple of weeks! Many crafts and candies were put together using an “assembly line”. All that was made was put up for sale at a fundraising shopping event at Sugarloaf United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 5th. This was a great opportunity to tell the shoppers about The Next Stop and make some money for the program. A special thank you to volunteers Karin Bowman and Barbara Noa for all their extra efforts!
Of course, we always take “recreation” breaks during the day! Recently, Lynnette Swanson who is the Special Olympics coordinator for Gwinnett County, came to visit and lead some fun activities. Relay races always keeps everyone competitive and smiling!
Happy Birthday to Barrington who turned 21 last week!
