What a great month October has been at The Next Stop. We started out with Michael bringing his french toast recipe to us–he demonstrated how to cook it, and then everyone cooked their own. Who knew that toasted bread makes for a crunchier outcome?! Well done Michael!
The Next Stop always welcomes visiting volunteers! Recently, Lynnette Swanson from Gwinnett Special Olympics came with her giant parachute–everyone enjoyed all the fun activities a parachute can provide! Jamal’s mom–Miss Karen, the 3rd—led us in line dancing–hip hop style. Lots of smiles and lots of sweat made for a great time.
Food is always a winner with members. We celebrated National Fluffernutter Day with a tasty fluffernutter sandwich–everyone made their own. And what else do you do on National Angel Food Cake Day but make a cake!
